Neuro-Affirming Coaching: Understanding and Supporting Diverse Minds
In this interactive workshop, we will open the discussion on how we can better support clients with neurodivergent traits and/or diagnoses.
Through conversation, we will build a clearer understanding of how to support neurodivergent clients. Whether your clients have a formal diagnosis, have never been diagnosed, or exhibit neurodivergent traits, you’ll be better equipped to help them achieve lasting success.
As coaches, we know that every client has their own way of thinking, learning, and engaging with the world. One important aspect of this is neurodivergence—a broad range of cognitive variations like ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and more. Neurodivergent traits can show up in a variety of ways, including differences in focus, organization, sensory sensitivities, or social interactions. Importantly, these traits are not limited to those with formal diagnoses; many individuals exhibit neurodivergent characteristics without even realizing it.
By adopting a neuro-affirming approach, we ensure that we don’t dismiss these traits and are equipped to support these clients, creating a space where they feel seen, understood, and empowered to use their strengths to succeed.
In this workshop, we will discuss:
* Inclusive, affirming language
* Stereotypes and misconceptions
* Neurodivergent strengths and challenges
* Focus from deficits to strengths
We look forward to seeing you there!
