The Center for the Advancement of Well-Being (CWB) is located at George Mason University, serving university populations and external audiences. Our senior scholars and scientists are engaged in research that deepens our understanding of the science of well-being and evidence-based practices. CWB offerings include programs and resources for students, faculty, and staff along with executive education programs for organizations, agencies, and individuals.

Ellen Fulton, MCC

Ellen Fulton, MCC, has extensive experience working with thousands of leaders across multiple countries and industries. She challenges clients to do their own inner work since success is directly proportional to self-awareness. Ellen is the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being’s Coaching Education Director of Training and Managing Principal of the Washington Coaching Group. Ellen leads several coach education offerings to include the MCC practicum and Conversations2Mastery. She also serves as senior advisor to two other coaching programs, teaching and mentoring faculty and participants.

Masterful Coaching Course – MCC Coaching Education – Level 3

The Masterful Coaching Course is an MCC Coaching Education program that meets the criteria for Level 3 Coaching Education accreditation by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This is an advanced coaching course for PCC-credentialed coaches who wish to develop the art and skill of a masterful coach.

The five-month program is a practicum that includes in-depth instruction and exploration of various advanced coaching topics, including: partnership and performance, coaching presence, vulnerability, assumptions, bias, confidence, and more. Participants will observe MCC coaches in action, and they will use these coaching demonstrations to label masterful coaching distinctions. Experienced coaches will expand their perspectives and deepen their understanding of their approach to coaching with many opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and meet one-on-one with an MCC Mentor Coach.

Classes meet 3 times per month between September 9, 2025 and February 10, 2026 for a total of 79 education hours. Please see the website for the full 5-month schedule. The deadline to register is Friday, August 1, 2025.
